Triflow tap by Zaha Hadid

“By applying advanced 3D software to our experiments into the viscosity of liquids, we were able to explore complex forms and their productivity for domestic environments,” she continues. “A major benefit of this design language is that you can create something that not only appears continuous, but also blends seamlessly with the ergonomic needs of a tap.”

“Having the ability to re-think the product development from the ground up, how you want to use it and the way you use it has been a fun challenge,” states Nixon’s Marketing Director, Chad DiNenna. “The team’s involvement all the way down to the audio sampling process, matching the music they listen to most with how this product will perform, elevates the product for everyone. I’m excited for people to discover the product.”

four eyes

Think of the term "nerd" and you will likely identify this type of individual with a list of visual cues. Ranked highest among these would be the classic thick black frame eyeglasses. Nerds can be found around the world, going against the grain of popular culture. These socially awkward misfits partake in cerebral activities such as academic reading and technical gadgetry.

Four Eyes has a dual function and can be used as a bookmark and a USB key with a connector attached at its base. Its geek chic silhouette pays tribute to nerd culture.

totem cups

totem is an object, usually an animal, which serves as an emblem for a family or clan and embodies a sacred relationship between nature and humanity. Totem poles are monumental sculptures of the Indian tribes of the Pacific Northwest Coast. Presenting a modern interpretation of an early Native American tradition, this attractive series of stacking cups observes the First Nation's custom of totem pole carving.

"I designed a very simple bottle for Sake called Hakkin. This bottle holds 720ml of liquor and I had that clearly in my head as one of the factors to be included in its design. When I was asked to design this perfume bottle, I did not know if I could apply this idea of Sake to perfume. I was actually more doubtful at first whether I could rearrange a Sake bottle for perfume. I drafted many sketches for the perfume bottle along with what resembles a Hakkin's bottle design but I became aware that it was difficult to overcome the 'Hakkin's design. And I realized what I was expected to do here.
What I had in my mind may have been an image of design for 720ml. By changing the size, the liquor bottle can become that of perfume or vice versa without altering the shape or design. I realized that it is sometimes possible to create a few different bottles by using the same form with different volumes."
