Design Blogger Profile: Patricia Gray Interior Design!

While many of today’s talented design bloggers simply comment on current designs, there can be no denying that blogs run by actual interior designers are absolutely jam packed with trends, great advice, and gorgeous photos. Today we bring you the blog of internationally known interior designer Patricia Gray.

Having worked in the business since 1982, it’s fair to say Patricia Gray knows a thing or two about interior design and homes. It’s not just luck that has propelled her to the top; her designs are warm, personable and at once traditional yet modern. Clearly listening to her clients and creating a space that reflects a homeowner’s needs (and not her own design agenda) is also behind her success.

Having worked on projects throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore and Africa, Patricia Gray has also been featured in top design magazines like Architectural Digest and Loft Life. She started her design training at the Douglas College in Vancouver (where her practice is currently stationed) but has studied at the Parsons School of Design in Paris and the Faculty of Architecture, University of Ferrara in Italy. As if all those studies weren’t enough, she’s also a certified practitioner of Feng Shui, having learned from David Daniel Kennedy and Grandmaster Professor Lin Yun at Harvard University and Berkeley University.

Why all that back story before we talk about her blog? Well to help you realize that Patricia Gray is someone to listen to! (Especially in matters of design.) Her blog was created so that she could share “what’s hot” in the world of design, cue readers in on current and upcoming trends and share her love of architecture, interior design and even world travel. Most importantly, she also helps readers create their own beautiful interiors through tips, ideas and notes.

We love the Patricia Gray blog for its simplicity. A simple blog on the platform Blogger, there are no ads or flashy graphic design to get in the way. It’s a simple page with a color palette of black, white and gray that lets the bright colors of her posts really pop. Sharing art, design and all sorts of other goodies, you want to gaze at all the gorgeous photos forever, but you tear yourself away to read the engaging text as well! And of course, if you find yourself still wanting for more, Patricia Gray’s actual website has great photos in her portfolio for inspiration, too.
