This Week's Top 5 Favorite 1stdibs Items: Groovy Purple!

We are still in love with the Perfect Pair we showed you yesterday: Paul McCobb's Popa Chair and a pair of lavender berry Joe Cariati glass lamps. We decided that for today's favorite 1stdibs new listings post we'd choose some other lavender berry colored furniture pieces, art and accessories, just in case you loved yesterday's pair as much as we did---and have been thinking about creating a room around them!

1) Pair of Sculptural Slipper Chairs
By Gastone Rinaldi for Rima, these two comfortable-looking chairs are upholstered in such a great color! We love their great shape, that they are low to the ground and casual, and bet they'd make a comfty addition to any space!

2) De Sede Non-Stop Sofa
We're not actually sure how you sit on a sofa like this, or where on earth you'd put it, but there's no denying that it's awesomely modern-looking and quite a beautiful shade of purple. A furniture piece like this would definitely steal the show in any space it occupies.

3) Jack Lenor Larsen Vivid Velvet Upholstered Settee
This couch is from the 1960s, can you tell? We know it's pretty wild-looking (or perhaps the correct word is groovy?) but we also think it's incredibly fun, and we spot the color purple! We think this would be a crazy thing to add to a room; it would definitely spice things up!

4) Fun 1970s Bar
If that couch was obviously from the 1960s, then there's no mistaking that this bar is from the 1970s! Also rather groovy, we love the graphic and pop art feel that a piece like this would bring to a space, and check out that purple accent! You could use a piece like this to bring in the purple color to a room without overwhelming the senses with it.

5) Large Scale Abstract Modernist Painting
Last but not least we bring you this great Abstract Painting from the 1960s. It's large, about 7' x 5', and would be a great addition to a wall next to other lavender and purple-colored items, don't you think? An art piece like this is wonderfully graphic and brings a lot of energy to a room.
