This Week's Top 5 Favorite 1stdibs Items: Things in the Sky!

We're flying pretty high this morning. Our weather in Texas is mild, the sun is coming out, and even amongst all the tragedy the world is seeing, we feel grateful for all that we have in our life. In honor of this great mood, we thought our theme for today's top picks from 1stdibs' newest listings (you know how much we love themes around here!) would be things that can be found high in the sky. We're just in love with the fun Mid-Century Modern graphics of birds located on this ceramic vase. Birds--an often occupant of blue skies---make for a perfect addition to the theme but in a fresh, not-so-obvious way. And the prime colors are fun, too!

5) Margaret Bourke-White Photograph, 1931
"Originally given to the winner in the Goodyear dealer's zeppelin race. Frame bears the inscription plaque: 'This frame is made of duralumin used in girder construction of the United States Airship Akron built by the Goodyear Zeppelin Corporation.'" Not only a great take on our sky theme, but also a piece of history!
