We’ve probably never shared with you our criteria we look for when choosing a design blog to profile. Well, it’s pretty simple. We look for the most popular interior design blogs out there, because we know those resonate with the most people. We look for those blogs that exhibit the most potential for inspiring others with their great photographs, stories, tips and ideas.
Contemporist fits these criteria and more to a “T.”

After an exhausting search of blogs for this post we landed on Contemporist and inhaled the fresh design air. We weren’t knocked over with tons of dizzying images or ads---just a simple black and white color header and a bright array of simply laid out posts. We appreciate this site’s fresh look when compared to other sites that seem a bit “jumbled.”

Run by the hip Erin and Dave, Contemporist is considered a source for architects, interior designers, home owners and lovers of design. Updated daily, you can find information on new building practices, products, designs, ideas, and more. Considered to be more of an “online publication” versus just a regular blog, the Contemporist has really become the first place to get inside knowledge in the design trade, and has been read by over 4 million people since its launch in October of 2007.
