screen shots of the interiors in the newest Sex in the City movie, we knew we had to grab a few shots for inspiration and pair them with our very own Swank Lighting lamps. We think you’ll agree with us—Swank Lighting goes great with Sex in the City!

Carrie’s living room in the movie is a gorgeous mix of sophistication, vintage details, flirty and feminine style with just a dash of masculinity. We love how deftly the designer melded textures, colors and patterns to create a room that looks both lived in and somewhat formal. There’s just one thing we feel is missing, and that’s a bold pair of lamps!
We’d add to this room a Swank Lighting pair of
Orange Long Neck Vintage Murano Lamps by Balboa. Tall, elegant and utterly graceful, these lamps’ shape won’t grab too much attention, but their bold color will. We love how these lamps’ warm color would go so wonderful with the warm golds and yellows of the painting in the living room.

This bedroom is a rich and textured mixture of neutrals combined with regal jewel tones that creates both a feminine and masculine combination of feelings. There are tons of layers of soft and plush fabrics, as well as a surprising few punches of pattern that are unexpected and delight the senses.
The lamps in this room are a simple gold pair, quite demure and not shocking at all. We’d go instead with a pair of
Marbro Company Vintage Murano Lamps In Purple Venetian Glass. The purple is a deep, rich color just like the color palette in the room, and we think it would add another fabulous layer of richness to the whole room.

This room is the ultimate of Sex in the City 2 style: soft, feminine and layered; it looks just like something a sassy, sophisticated career woman would live in, but it also shows a lot of maturity and wisdom. Definitely ultra-girly, it would still fit with a masculine male’s New York style.
Though the room is already pretty luxurious, we think there can always be more luxury, and would add to this space a pair of
Iridescent Clear Crystal Murano Lamps by Barovier & Toso, one of our favorite pairs from Swank Lighting. It doesn’t have a bold color, so it won’t steal the show in this otherwise perfect room, but with its gorgeous iridescent clear crystal details, it will add a gorgeous amount of texture and style.
