Contemporary Designer Profile: Jeffers Design Group!

We haven’t checked to be sure, but we bet that in the dictionary next to the word “eclectic” is a photo of today’s contemporary designer, Jay Jeffers. With his firm, Jeffers Design Group, and a staff of great designers, interiors all across the country are being transformed into amazing places full of interest, excitement, color, texture and pattern. We’re smitten!

We’re not kidding when we say this online portfolio is eclectic. Contemporary mixes with modern, mingles with antique, who looks to be stepping out with transitional, and a whole bevy of other styles and designs in between. The only thing that all the spaces seem to have in common is that they are drop dead gorgeous.

In one room, a boldly printed rug is placed next to a manly, paneled wood wall backdrop. In another white subway tiles help jack and jill vanities—painted in what can only be called a periwinkle blue—to pop. Modern art pieces play off of Oriental fabrics. Interesting light fixtures steal the show. Walls glow from smart paint color treatments.

We especially love the inclusion in this firm’s portfolio of Jay’s own house. We think how he decorated it (which, as you might know, decorating your own home is so tough) is absolutely divine, and really shows off his skills of a designer. Gray crown molding? Salmon-colored walls? A hot pink modernist coffee table? Jay’s home is proof that these are folks not afraid to take a chance with an interior!

Their website stresses one of their driving forces in design—enjoying it! You can definitely see that they enjoy what they do, and create homes for their clients who will no doubt enjoy them immensely. Though supported by a number of great designers, Jeffers does lead every project, and it's his keen eye and great leadership that have led to the firm winning tons of awards and mentions, like getting on House Beautiful’s Top 100 Interior Designers list and having projects featured in Metropolitan Home, Elle Décor, The New York Times, InStyle Home, Hamptons Style and more. You’ll definitely find some great inspiration from this website.

Swank Lighting is an amazing resource not just for the best vintage Murano glass lamps in the market today, but also a wonderful resource for interior design inspiration and a great place to get an education about past and present designers. Keep up-to-date with everything we do on our Facebook page and our twitter.
