This Week's Top 5 Favorite 1stdibs Items: Fall's Almost Here!

Uh oh. We're now well into September, and we've started to smell, sense and feel the coming of fall, our favorite season! You know what that means—fall-themed posts! Each week we choose five items from 1stdibs, the amazing online antique and vintage furnishings resource, to profile here. The five items usually revolve around a theme. To be frank, we saw three of these items right next to each other and the colors of them created an instant mood for us. This is a transitional palette, not quite full-fledged fall, but getting there.

1) Angora "Tulu" Rug
This rug and its colors set the tone for our whole vignette. It has some of the warm colors of fall like golden yellows and oranges, but still has some other sassy colors that remind one that there's still a little summer left.
Price: $1,950

Double Knot

2) Marco Zanuso Sofa
This is a perfect example of a transitional piece. The color is in the fall color family: warm and rich, but it's also bright enough that it also reminds one of the bold color palettes of summer. And we love that plush shape.

3) Americana horse
The fall season always reminds of craft items that are from or close to the earth, and this wooden horse is a great example. It's warm and natural enough, but also real subtle.

4) Primitive Carved Wooden Bread Troughs
Oh we love this piece so much! Couldn't you just see this on a low coffee table in a modern home full of bright, crisp red apples? That would be a great way to usher in fall. But would also work with a number of items in it, perfect for any season.

5) The Egyptian Chair by Finn Juhl
This piece of Mid-Century Modern history might be pricey, but it's worth it (both as an investment and aesthetically!). With a teak frame and a gorgeous, golden leather material, this chair is warm, wheat-colored and prime for ushering in the fall season in your interiors.
Price: $12,500
